These estate-grown grapes are some of the first plantings of its varietal in the state. Symphony was developed by Dr. Harold Olmo of UC Davis in the 1940s, who crossed a Muscat de Alexandria with a Grenache Gris and came up with this new grape. Thus, Symphony is a true variety of California. Fun fact- Symphony is fermented each vintage in the very first wine tank that Mike Phillips ever owned!
Symphony opens with a bright bouquet of honeydew melon, nectarine and fresh honeycomb. Tantalizing flavours of yellow peach, pineapple and citrus dance on the tongue, carried through by a long, fruitful finish. Symphony is the perfect wine for spicy Asian-inspired dishes, creamy cheeses and warm, summer nights.
